Telmar Flash Drive offers low-cost, low-power solid stae drop-in replacement for electro-mechanical hard drives used in legacy communications networks.
Plano, Texas – June 22, 2011 – Telmar Network Technology today introduced the Telmar Flash Drive which provides a solid state, flash memory solution for Hard Disk and Magneto Optical Drive replacements. The Telmar Flash Drive utilizes proven SCSI drive architecture and industry-standard Compact Flash Card technology, allowing service providers to have a quick-to-install, low-cost replacement for any system or platform in their legacy systems.
The Telmar Flash Drive’s configurable firmware matches legacy system’s software. The cost-efficient solid state solution with Compact Flash memory provides lower power consumption, noise and heat, which makes it less likely to fail than a standard hard drive and more reliable with reduced, unplanned downtime. The Telmar Flash Drive:
- Does not require additional software for operation due to its SCSI data buss interface
- Emulates the operation of a s SCSI hard drive disk
- Features firmware controlled by an SCSI interface which is adaptable to host’s software SCSI drivers
- Provides a transparent interface from the SCSI buss to solid state Flash
- Offers fast write speeds
