Stephen G. Welch (Steve) currently serves as Senior VP of Business Development for ASSIA, Inc. the world’s leader in dynamic spectrum management software for the global telecom market. In addition to serving on Telmar’s Executive Advisory Board, Welch is a member of Accenture’s Executive Advisory Board for Procurement Solutions and also serves as an executive advisor to the Board of Directors of QuEST Forum, a global Telecom Industry quality organization he helped establish in 1998 as founding chairman. He is the principal in Value Propositions, LLC a consulting firm specializing in supply chain management.
Before retiring from AT&T in 2005, Welch spent 16 years as the Chief Procurement Officer for SBC (Ameritech, Southwest Bell, Pacific Telesis. SNET). During his tenure at AT&T, Welch also served as Senior Executive Vice President, Marketing and External Affairs where he was responsible for key corporate strategy deployment for sales operation effectiveness, access line retention, customer service improvement, and municipal affairs.
Mr. Welch holds a BA from Harvard University in Government, an MS from San Diego State University in Public Administration, and is a graduate of the Executive Program at University of Virginia Business School.
